Get Lost

Let us wander, dear boy. Into that dark cold night. Let us walk hand in hand. Into the gazing starlight.

I just want to get lost with you
 and soak you all in.
 Your smell.
 Your fragrance.
 Your essence.
 Through my thinned skin.

I just want to absorb and suckle every part of you.
 For without you
I was fine. Still. Calm, fiery red, but fine.
But you make life taste so much sweeter sometimes.
 So much more divine.
Like a glass of red wine, full and emboldened.
But sad and lost, with so many words left unspoken.

 As we make memories
winding down paths and roads through the haze
trying to figure each other out through the muck
and the self-conflicting past, finances, and emotional maze.

I still want to just get lost with you.

 Let us wander, dear boy.
 Into that dark cold night.
Let us walk hand in hand.
 Into the gazing starlight.
Naked and caressed by mother nature
 Wandering into whatever
season this air and bird sings
into whatever fruit this harvest brings!
 My meandering wanderer.
 My lover and friend.
For not all that wander, a wise one once said
 are lost.
